About me/FAQ:
Who's running this mess?

That’d be me. Phil or LordPhil in the gaming circles.

I have no real credentials or accolades to stand on, just merely enjoy the act of talking, ranting, yapping, gushing, and overall over-analyzing various media to people around me. And perhaps if it’s all here in written form they’ll be able to take it at their own pace and not let me over explain useless details in person.

What's with the name?

The reason for the Recovered Journal name is a pretty simple connection to my own personal experiences. My early life was full of idle moments. With nothing for a young mind to pass the time on hand I took to writing. Nothing incredibly significant or worth mentioning, just a record of the day’s events, the things I saw and how they affected me.

I had more than a few methods of recording these, and unfortunately they were lost through various events that I wish would make for interesting stories but sadly we aren’t so exciting.

I hope to rekindle that habit and let it help foster my own introspection and help to better understand various experiences I go through and the media I explore. So I guess this is a long way of saying I’m trying to recover it all.

Goals?

I have no major ambitions or goals with this. I just needed a space to get really silly thoughts out there. If you like it, cool! If you hate it, it’s also cool!

Other than minor improvements as I learn how to format everything and make it look nicer and some more consistent theming I don’t anticipate much change unless something major happens. If that happens there will be updates posted…probably.

Can I support?

Ugh, I was bullied into adding a method for this by friends, but please don’t feel like it’s necessary. I’m doing this to flex a muscle I haven’t used in years while learning some new skills while I’m at it. I’m not going into this looking for anything extra.

If you would like to support (first, thank you what the heck) there is a link to Ko-fi on the bottom as well as on our contact/socials page
